ABOUT HEATHER PRINDLE

Yoga is the practice of paying attention … but FIRST …

A love of sports and just plain backyard playing has always kept me moving, thanks to my OG coach, my brother Pete, and our 80’s neighborhood crew. Pete kept me “practicing” whenever we weren’t trying to beat each other at some old school Nintendo Tecmo Superbowl or Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out!!

Eventually my childhood play would evolve into a more serious interest and even LOVE for gym class and my teachers paying attention to lead me in the direction of modified sports. Before I knew it, I was trying out for varsity teams in 8th and 9th grade and I was starting to understand my brother’s commitment to me and athletics. Soccer was my favorite, but I was better at basketball.

After high school, the Air Force and Arizona soccer fed my sports’ spirit. As an adult I found running and group fitness and I was very much content to be a class taker- not a teacher. After a few nagging injuries I landed myself “on the bench” with a torn calf muscle which opened my world up to Yoga. The internet was starting to share more teachers to the web, and I got hooked by watching Dylan Werner work some magic on a yoga mat. I started practicing at home with three good limbs and one healing one until my body was healthy enough to join the local studio for an in-person practice. My practice turned into two Yoga certifications and a hunger to share the teachings with others- specifically in the gym and competitive sports environments since those are my roots.

Come share a class together as we make the hard work fun and implement some mobility work, paired with The GYM’s group trainings you will be feeling your best self and even grow a desire to know the truth of your own being.
